Training Legal Outreach Students at NYU Law School

2019 Legal Outreach @ NYU.jpg

July 2019 - Introducing and exposing students to the law is vital to develop critical analytical skills. For the past couple of years, Roosevelt Jean, Esq. has presented a trial and lawyering skills work shop at New York University Law School through the Legal Outreach, Inc. Summer Law Institute (SLI) – an academically intensive program for rising New York City ninth graders interested in the law.

These brilliant young men of color are devoting their summer to learning about the criminal justice process, and they will ultimately apply all their knowledge during an August mock trial competition. It was awesome observing these scholars quickly grasp my legal tutorial, digest a complicated fact pattern, and then engage in a fierce legal debate.

By mentoring Legal Outreach boys this summer, he ensures they keep “RAISING THE BAR!”
